How it works

A small gift becomes a delivered moment of joy

Whether you fill a stocking yourself or give so our Elves can, every gift follows the same path to a senior who needs it.

  1. 01

    Give a stocking or $25

Fill a stocking with small gifts for a senior, or send $25 by e-transfer and our Elves will shop and stuff one on your behalf.

  2. 02

    Elves shop and assemble

Our volunteer Elves sort, fill, and label every stocking His, Hers, or Unisex at Elf Headquarters in Port Dalhousie.

  3. 03

    Delivered to a senior

Working with local partners, we hand-deliver each stocking to long-term-care homes and seniors who are alone in our community.

Our story

It started with 60 stockings and a simple belief

Founder Janice Ford-Spencer saw how lonely the holidays can be for seniors with no family nearby. Holiday giving so often centres on children, she noticed, while older adults are quietly forgotten. In 2018 she filled about 60 stockings. Today, with President Patricia Tudor and more than 40 volunteer Elves, the program reaches thousands.

I'm really trying to reach every lonely senior there is in Niagara.
